In this movie, an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and a young stockbroker explores the notion of life and highlights the paradoxes associated with beauty, justice, identity, meaning and death.


It is an account of the controversial life of criminal lawyer Shahid Azmi, potrayed by Rajkumar Rao, who was murdered a few years ago. It very well highlights the hypocrisy of our legal system.

It is a conspiracy thriller, claimed to be fictional, tells the story behind the assassination of ex- prime minister of India and how an intelligence officer tries to bring down a rebel group in Sri Lanka.

It is a masterpiece which talks about the true story of Dr. Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was suspended from his job because of his sexual orientations.

7. Do Bigha Zameen

It is the story of a farmer who moves to Calcutta and becomes a rickshaw puller to pay off his debts and save his land portrayed in the most realistic manner.

8.Bandit Queen

It is a real-life story of Phoolan Devi who was although given to her husband at the age of 11 but went on to become the leader of a bandit group.

9. Ugly

It is a story of a girl who goes missing and is beautifully narrated by Anurag Kashyap. It will take you to a roller coaster ride of emotions.

10. Mumbai Meri Jaan

This movie narrates the tragic story of five different people whose lives were affected by the 2006 Mumbai train blasts and the aftermath.
